Khon Kaen Municipality, in collaboration with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (Depa), organized a training program aimed at developing and enhancing understanding of the concepts of “Smart City” and “Digital Government” for both public and private sector personnel. The program is designed to prepare them for the digital era and improve the efficiency of public services in a sustainable manner.
The training covered essential topics related to Smart City development, including:
- Concepts and Infrastructure of Smart Cities: Strategies for planning and developing urban environments that align with the use of technology.
- Digital Data Management: The use of data and information technology for decision-making.
- Smart City Projects: Case studies of successful Smart City projects both in Thailand and abroad.
- Public-Private Partnerships: Building collaborations to develop cities across various dimensions.
The training was honored by Mr. Warun Sachdev, an expert in technology and Smart City development, who served as the keynote speaker. Mr. Warun shared his knowledge and experiences on the following topics:
- Government Adaptation in the Digital Era: Focusing on the use of technology to enhance the efficiency of public service operations.
- Development of Digital Infrastructure: Effective and sustainable planning for digital infrastructure development.
- Technologies Supporting City Development: Such as IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and Big Data.
The presentation was concise and easy to understand, and participants were encouraged to ask questions and exchange ideas, fostering effective learning.
Participants from both the public and private sectors expressed their satisfaction with the content and the training format, particularly the practical examples linking theoretical concepts, which made it easier for them to apply the knowledge in their own organizations.
This project aims to:
